Our qualified therapist is Naomi Hill. She is a qualified Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist, to HPD and DipCAH level, an accredited and acknowledged supervisor with both the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR) and APHP, and is also a trained practitioner in NLP, which is used routinely with clients as an effective means of bringing about positive change.
Naomi has over a decade of experience in clinical practice, and has a wealth of knowledge which is a valuable means of support to those looking for regular supervision in professional practice.
The need for supervision is, and should be viewed as, an essential component of ethical practice, for the whole duration of one's professional career. The therapist ensures, through engagement with a supervisor at regular intervals, that they are effectively addressing the needs of their clients, whilst taking the opportunity to self reflect, and identify personal and professional needs and requirements for development. Additionally, the provision of a supportive yet confidential environment ensures the well-being of the therapist is under scrutiny, to ensure that everything is being done to remain fit for practice.
Depending on the professional organisation therapists are registered with, there are specific requirements which should be adhered to in regards to the frequency and number of hours of annual supervision being sought. This may be dependent on the experience of the individual, time spent in practice and/or the number of client sessions being undertaken. Those seeking supervision should refer to the individual terms of their registration for guidance. Regardless of official requirements, it is increasingly being advised in every field that therapists should view supervision as an essential undertaking, for the whole duration of their career.
You are in good hands....
